▪ This weekend is Memorial Day which honors the brave men and
women who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.
Memorial Day reminds us, “freedom is not free” and we owe a
debt of gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Originally coined “Decoration Day”, the national observance was
declared on May 5th, 1868 by General John A. Logan. It was
designated as a time to decorate graves of the fallen and honor
their sacrifice.
▪ Thank you to all who provide and proof material for this column.
