Removal of utilities, concrete, and underground structures will not be performed by bidder. The highest sealed bid will be the starting bid at the live auction. The winning bidder must be suitably qualified and enter into a purchase agreement at the time of the auction. Buyer must comply with all applicable state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances related to the demolition and/or removal of buildings. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining necessary permits and conducting asbestos testing if required. The agreement must be approved by the Board of City Commissioners after which the full purchase price must be paid immediately. If the winning bidder does not fulfill the terms of their agreement, the City may enter into an agreement with the next highest bidder, and so on, until the project is complete.
