  • This will automatically come out of a checking or savings account on the due date.
  • We are unable to accept online banking and cash apps such as, Chime, Varo, etc. at this time.

  • Pay online (non reoccurring) at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/valleycitynd
  • A 3.55% credit card fee will be applied to each transaction.
  • You will need your utility account number and amount of last payment to set up your online account.
• In person
  • Visit our office located at 254 2^nd Ave NE. We are open Monday – Thursday 8a-5p and Friday 8a-4p (holiday hours vary).
  • We accept cash, check, money order, or credit/debit cards
  • A 3.55% credit card fee will be applied to all transactions using a credit card.  You may pay in person with a debit card (PIN must be entered) to avoid fee.

  •  Call 877-817-9869 and follow prompts to make a non-recurring payment.  You will need your utility account number and house number. A 3.55% credit card fee will be applied.
• Drop boxes (two locations)
  • Payment can be dropped off at any time before due date.
  • Payments dropped in drop box after 8am on due date will not be processed until next business day and may incur a late fee
• Mail
  • Mail payment to 254 2nd Ave NE
  • If payment is received after due date late fee will be applied.

Public Works can provide Budget Billing for electric service to qualified customers. This service calculates a monthly charge that doesn’t change due to seasonal demands.
